Volunteer Day at Achlochan Loch
Scottish Wildlife Trust and the Achlochan Crofters welcome volunteers to join us and help carry out improvements to the barn at Achlochan Loch and lay down an improved floor. The barn is important place for us to store tools and take shelter in on a rainy volunteer day, and is home to some local wildlife.
What should I bring?
• Suitable outdoor clothing for the weather including waterproofs
• Sturdy boots or wellies
• Gloves (gloves are provided on the day but you may prefer to bring your own)
• Lunch, snacks and plenty to drink (a warm drink in a flask for cooler days)
• In warmer months bring sunscreen, hat, midge-net and/or insect repellent
The work will be physical and outdoors. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
How can I join in?
If you would like to join us, please just come along on the day – we will meet at 10am at the car park by the footpath to the broch. For further information please contact Michelle Henley T: 07920 468567 or E: mhenley@scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk
